As Saving Lives at Sea started a new series on BBC2 this week, we thought it would be a good time to shine the spotlight on our own OneGTM life saver Tim Hallac.
Tim joined the crew at Chiswick RNLI earlier this year and has been on a variety of call outs from sunken cars, to capsized boats. One of Tim’s more serious shouts was to a man who suffered serious head and spinal injuries after stripping to his underwear and diving head first into shallow water with a friend at Putney. This shout sparked off a short piece on the local ITV news about the dangers of the Thames, which can be seen here:
This is the busiest time of year for the RNLI's teams on the Thames. Last night they helped a man injured after jumping into the water at Putney, one of eight calls they go to every day. @luketomhanrahan went out with them: pic.twitter.com/X2HwispYEw

Well done Tim on volunteering.
